TechLink's primary activity is assisting companies with licensing new technology from the US Department of Defense.

In addition to licensing, TechLink's professional staff offers client companies assistance in:

• Locating and evaluating technology
• Partnering with DoD labs and other organizations for joint technology research and development
• Gaining access to world-class federal research facilities
• Transitioning innovative technology to DoD operational use
• Winning SBIR/STTR funding from 11 federal agencies for innovative technology development (Montana companies)
• Improving companies' ability to win Air Force SBIR Phase II & Phase III contracts (nationwide)
