Agriculture is a major industry in the northwestern region of the United States. For example, it accounts for over one-third of basic employment, labor income, and gross sales in Montana; 90 percent of land use in North Dakota; and 25 percent of the Gross State Product in Idaho.

TechLink helps agricultural technology companies develop new products and services that support more efficient food and fiber production, better farm management, and improved food safety and processing. We do this by facilitating value-added partnerships involving technology licensing agreements and joint R&D projects between companies and federal research laboratories.
