Space News
October 21, 2002
NASA will test a new coating developed by Aircraft Finishing Systems for use on future spacecraft, the Montana State University TechLink Center announced Sept. 20. The clear ceramic protective coating, dubbed EverShield, will be tested at the Electro-Physics Branch of NASA's Glenn Research Center to determine how well the coating can protect satellites from the harsh environment of space. The NASA and Aircraft Finishing Systems agreement was facilitated by the TechLink center, a federally funded organization that helps move technology to market.
