NASA to Test Montana Product
Billings Gazette September 20, 2002 BOZEMAN - NASA plans to test the product of a Montana company to see if it can be used to protect orbiting satellites. Aircraft Finishing Systems, of Missoula, has developed a ceramic coating for possible use on future spacecraft. The company says the coating, called EverShield, can withstand temperatures of 2,000 degrees, and can be applied like conventional paint. NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio will test the coating in the next few months. The testing was set up by TechLink, an MSU program funded by the Department of Defense and NASA.
