Joan Wu-Singel, CLP

Joan Wu-Singel, Senior Technology Manager, has over 12 years of technology transfer experience at TechLink and serves as TechLink’s chief technology scout. In this position, she evaluates all DoD patents and published patent applications. Joan specializes in photonics and sensors, software and information technologies, advanced materials, and electronics. She has brokered more than 40 license agreements, including the three largest agreements in DoD history (in partnership with John Dennis). Joan gained extensive industry expertise as a product development and marketing leader at Raychem Corporation, a Fortune 500 materials company. She has a BS degree in chemistry from the University of California-Berkeley, and an MBA and MS degree in physical-inorganic chemistry from the University of Chicago. She is a member of the international Licensing Executive Society (LES) and was one of its first members to be designated a Certified Licensing Professional.
