ACTION: Notice of Intent

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Research and Development, Technology Transfer Program, intends to grant to LEVO USA, INC., 7105 Northland Terrace, Brooklyn Park, MN, 55428, an exclusive license to U.S. Patent No. 9,044,369 and U.S. Patent No. 9,101,520 associated with VA Invention Disclosure number 10-151 titled, “Mobile Manual Standing Wheelchair.”

DATES: Comments must be received on or before April 5, 2019.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Federal Government’s patent rights in this invention are assigned to the US Government as represented by the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is in the public interest to license this invention as Levo USA, Inc. has submitted a complete and sufficient application for a license. The prospective exclusive license will be royalty-bearing and will comply with the terms and conditions of 35 U.S.C. 209 and 37 CFR 404.7. The prospective exclusive license may be granted unless, within 15 days from the date of this published Notice, the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Research and Development, Technology Transfer Program receives written evidence and argument which establishes that the grant of the license would not be consistent with the requirements of 35 U.S.C. 209 and 37 CFR 404.7.
